My Life Is Terrible

Your Life is Terrible for January 27th, 2008

On today's edition of Your Life is Terrible, Slumpy answers questions about stress and time management. Why somebody thought he'd be a good source to ask about this, I don't know, but there it is.

Dear Slumpy,

Sometimes college life is very tense and stressful and full of tears on account of how busy you can be! When college gets really stressful and you're really really busy and stressed on how little time you have for yourself, and you feel like drowning a puppy out of frustration and anxiety, how would YOU cope with it all? What are some of your relaxation/time management techniques?

PS: You have nice broad shoulders. Mmmmmmmm.

Hi Taffy. Is that really your name? It's funny. I wish I had a funny name. Sounds like someone I would learn important lessons about friendship and courage from.

I don't know about college life because I never went, so I'll just assume it's like life. I'm not really sure what stress is. If it's the crushing weight of knowing that you'll wake up tomorrow, then I understand, but I don't have an answer. Sometimes, when I wake up, I wish I didn't have to do that. I mean wake up. Because when I sleep, I am not having to deal with the things in the world, which are mostly unpleasant. Unless I am having bad dreams, which is pretty usual. So, I guess my point is, maybe you should sleep more. Sometimes you aren't tired, though, in which case you should just sit quietly and try not to think.

Actually, your suggestion of drowning a puppy isn't interesting - I hadn't really thought about killing small animals to make myself feel better. Maybe I should do that. I don't really know where to find a puppy, though.

I hope this helps, although I doubt it.

Ps is that a bad thing, it probably is
